Charity Dental Work Needed

OK, so I need to get some serious dental work done, but as always I find myself lacking in fundage. I may visit some local churches tomorrow and see if there are any charities or perhaps generous dentists who might be able to help. I need allo f my decayed and abcessed roots extracted and a complete set of dentures. A dentist with a sliding scale will cover 65 % of the cost based on my limited fixed income, but I need to raise the other 35 %. Wish me luck, friends. I miss the taste of a fresh, crunchy salad.

The large virtual birthday hall is empty except for me. I sadly remove all the virtual drinks and food and decorations. People did not wish me a happy birthday today on-line

I enjoy listening to Nitty Scott, Carty Yeah, and Diggy Simmons. What artists and/or tunes are YOU listening to today? I think the melody is much more important than the lyrics, myself. I could enjoy listening to a joint that totally dissed me personally if the melody was good. Finding a good melody is a lot like panning for gold with your ear in ANY generation / time. Mostly dirt, a few rare nuggets.

Cathedral in Washington DC will open again in November after the earthquake damage has been stablelized. Washington Monument still closed due to earthquake damage as far as I know. Baltimore had near 20 inches of rain in September, following a wet August with the hurricane. Tropics likely to spawn an inland hurricane that will bring sustained winds of 74 MPH or higher somewhere in VA, DE, MD, PA, and/or NJ within the next 3 years according to climatological cycles that have regularly done this every 57-60 years going back for the last 400 years. The last inland hurricane to strike the middle Atlantic states struck 57 years ago (Hurricane Hazel, 1954) Hazel brought sustained (continuous) winds in Washington DC of 78 MPH with a peak gust of 98 MPH. The homes and buildings in the middle Atlantic states that were constructed in the 1970's-2010's are much more fragile than the sturdy construction in the 1700's-1950/60's. And yet...hazel tore down block masonary constructed buildings in Delaware in 1954. The great mid-Atlantic INLAND hurricane striking in the highest density populated part of this country will likely out do Katrina MANY times over...within 3 years. FEMA...prepare to go bankrupt. Property insurance corporations...mother nature says it's PAYBACK TIME! (Sorry for all the gloom and doom. It's just where my mind went while typing this blog). So I say...lets improve our mood now and GET HIGH! Liqour and/or drugs...leagal or...?

I never would have thought that it would be October before I got compensated from uninsured motorist fund...back in August when the crash happened. It seems that the proper amount of time has finally elapsed to move on this case sinse the un-insured driver who pulled out in front of me has NOT been willing to sign an affadavit admiting that he has no auto insurance. So this comming week, I need to wait for MORE paperwork to arrive to me via UPS to fill out and return with the title to my destroyed car. THEN when they receive that, they will send me the check for my loss, and provide a rental car for 7-10 days to allow me time to shop for a vehicle. I am worried that the amount that I receive shall be very low because the total loss unit considers the MILEAGE as well as the age of the car when determining the amount I shall receive for damages. I don't get down to the library very often now to get on-line because the walk from my apartment is SO long (4 miles rount trip) that it takes so much out of me due to my neuropathy in both feet.

Car Crash Destroyed my Ride

Fortunately it happened in a 25 MPH zone but a young fellow pulled his 2001 Pontiac Grand Am out in front of me as I proceeded east out of Martinsburg on Rte 45. The whole crash was over and done with before my foot ever hit the brake pedal. The entire front end of my 2002 Toyota Corolla was anihilated in a flash. The seat belt kept me from being hurt though. The cops were very thorough in their investigations. The other driver was clearly at fault. Both he and the little girl passenger were unhurt as well. So...file a claim, no big deal, right? No such luck. It seems that the insurance policy that this kid provided was cancelled over 2 YEARS ago. And I have only liability coverage on my own policy. So I indicated to my own claims rep that I needed to file a claim through the Uninsured Motorist Fund since the driver at fault had no insurance. In spite of having no coverage on damage to my own vehicle, my insurance company was able to get me set up with a rental car at no expense to myself. The rental car agency also bent over backward to help me. They require a major credit card in MY OWN name or $100 cash deposit, of which I had neither. So they used a debit card that I have a zero balance on to get me down the road. Now for the BAD part. My car will be appraised today to determine the condition it was in prior to the crash to determine the value. Miles: near a quarter MILLION. The body: rough. Driver's side door replaced years ago with door (primer coated) from junk yard Toyota. Hood replaced with thin primer coated hood years ago. Front driver's seat broken, sitting cockeyed. Large hole in console between front seats that I had chiseled out around parking brake lever to retrieve change that had fallen through. Rear driver's side door window replaced with plexiglass...etc. & etc. I may wind up with a negative balance rather than getting ANY money for loss to use for purchase of replacement vehicle. And as is the case with all claims through Uninsured Motorist Fund, there is a $300 deductible that comes right off the top of any check cut for repair or total loss. This young fellow really left me in a lurch. I am not optimistic.

It iz a COOL 91 degrees F here today. Now some of you up north in Holland or Siberia might laugh at this but it really IS a cool 91 degrees here today because the air is SO dry and crisp and clear. You can see forever here today. No smog! No humidity! I feel like I am up in Flagstaff, AZ.
